Am I the only one who thinks that these pieces from LV men's spring/summer 2015 are a bit on the ugly side?
I understand that he got his ideas from India sub-continent and its rich cultural history. LOL, I am partly Indian myself, and I can understand the fascination... but, with these, I am like huh?
I have seen many items with mirrors embedded them. The style is similar to heer embroidery (update: Shisha embroidery actually), and is usually used on women, tapestries and quilt covers and the occasional mens shirts.. But On bomber jackets and overalls??
I'm sure that it takes a lot of effort to create these amazing pieces, the embroidery (update: ceramic-coated and Mako yarns), the placement of each mirrored disc with LV or Louis Vuitton etched on them, but, I am still like in "what was he thinking" mode. Overalls...let me repeat that.... overalls!!!!
Now where would one wear these (update: glamorous sport hybrid) , I know, in a disco, dance clubs with techno music pumping.. and if these clubs lack a disco ball, U know what U can do to help. Just wear this overall or bomber jacket, stand in the middle of the dance floor, and voilĂ !
Instant disco ball!
Disco ball anyone?
